Sister
Edna Lett Williamson!
Always
active, anxious for work or play
No idle hands to ruin her day
Busy always like a bee
Bursting with lots of energy
Cats, yes cats, she loved them
all
The black, the white,, none would she maul
Dedicated to duty's call
No task was ever too big or small
Energy, she had barrels of that
stuff
Never feeling that she'd done enough
Full of good ideas, willing to
share
Encouraging her family to do and to dare
Gifted teacher, administrator,
friend and guide
Keeping Jesus be her side
Honored most recently 6-2-07 on
Northeastern Academy Day
When the Ephesus Youth and Earlieteen Sabbath
School Department had heir say
Individuality, power to think and
to do
She was one of a kind faithful and true
Joining groups and organizations
come what may
Her input often saved the day
Knowledge she shared with all in
need
Wishing that all would achieve and succeed
Life of the party, she'd get a
group together
Saturday night was the time in good or bad weather
Mentoring the youth, advising the
old souls
Helping people achieve their goals
Nieces, and nephews and a
daughter too by blood or "adopted"
To love and adore them she willingly opted
Oakwood College the love of her
life
Willingly she served the board without strife
Public speaker, she'd tell it
like at is
Sharing her life experiences and deeds
Questing always for what's best
Asking God for the rest
Remembering to send greeting
cards was a special thrill
Her grandmother taught her that loving skill
Stickler for order, bo loose ends
around
Thanks to her diligence no errors were found
Thankful as she to her family and
friends
Who faithfully cherished her to the very end
Unique was she -- one of a kind
A duplicate would be hard to find
Venturing where others feared to
tread
Taking chances, coming out ahead
Worker in the cause of God
Going where others feared to trod
X-ray Vision, the upward look
Giving her all, the best she took
Yielding her life in service true
Encouraging others to follow through
Zeroing in on what needed to be
done
Zest for life until set of sun
|
Of all that I've said this is the sun
She lived her best life, her work is done!
A legacy remains to say
She lived and loved and did it her
way.
